[Airports]

1. Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)
The main international gateway. Most international and long-haul flights operate here. It is connected to the city via the high-speed Maglev train (max speed 430 km/h) and Metro Line 2 .

2. Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (SHA)
The downtown airport. It primarily handles domestic flights and some short-haul international routes (e.g., to Tokyo, Seoul). It is closer to the city center and integrates seamlessly with high-speed trains and Metro Lines 2 & 10 .



[Railway Stations]

1. Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (HQQ)
The city's largest and main hub for high-speed trains (G & D trains). Located adjacent to Hongqiao Airport, it serves popular routes to Beijing, Hangzhou, and Nanjing. It is a massive transport complex connecting trains, airport, and metro .

2. Shanghai Railway Station (SHH)
The Old Station. Located in the downtown Jing'an District, it serves regular trains, some high-speed trains (to nearby cities like Nanjing), and is a major hub for Metro Lines 1, 3, and 4 .

3. Shanghai South Railway Station (SNH)
Located in southern Shanghai, this station serves southbound destinations like Hangzhou (via conventional lines), Ningbo, and southern provinces. It is famous for its unique circular dome design .
